What do we do @ The Inquiry Project?

Whether you have a whole staff, a professional learning team or are searching for a one on one coach, there are many ways that I can help you to ignite passion for Inquiry learning in your school. What ever your needs are with Inquiry, I'm here to help and Inquire along side you...

WHOLE SCHOOL CURRICULUM PLANNING

Making sense of the Victorian Curriculum can be a daunting task. We help schools to understand and unpack the big ideas and throughlines and co-design learning and teaching plans that map out an Inquiry sequence across two years. This allows schools to make purposeful links with other curriculum areas and integrate with key events in their local and global community.

INQUIRY UNIT
DESIGN

We help teams bring Inquiry to life in their classrooms. Moving from the 'why' to the 'what', we help teachers to create engaging learning experiences using Inquiry Framework. Co-designing rich, real and relevant Inquiry units that celebrate student voice and agency and empower students to reveal new learnings about themselves and make a difference for others and their world.

TOOLS FOR STUDENT VOICE & agency

We work with teachers to provide them with tools to activate and engage student voice in Inquiry. From student questions and wonderings, to creating pitches to solve problems, we support teachers with practical tools and strategies that focusses on giving students responsibility and ownership of their learning.

METACOGNTION & THINKING ROUTINES

When students become aware of the learning process, they gain control over their learning. Metacognitive strategies teach students to think about their thinking, classify and make sense of their learning. To understand where they have been and where they need to go. We support teachers to understand thinking through Inquiry and how they can be explicit in helping children to stretch their minds and make their thinking visible.

DESIGN THINKING

Design thinking is an awesome approach that gives clarity to finding solutions to problems. We support teams to incorporate the design thinking process in a guided Inquiry to help children use critical and creative thinking to design products and generate solutions to problems in their world.

STEAM & INNOVATION

Innovation and the incorporation of design technologies is a key aspect of Inquiry design. I support schools to purposefully integrate technologies in guided inquiry, including the arts, sciences and humanities. This also incorporates design thinking, collaboration and problem solving.

effective

FEEDBACK

Effective feedback is the key driver for improvement of student learning. I support schools to develop their own feedback culture with practical resources and online tools to refine their own practice teacher and peer feedback and student self reflection.

PARENT

ENGAGEMENT

Celebrations of learning are a wonderful way to encourage parents to connect with their childrens' learning. I help schools to structure opportunities for parents to engage with the learning at their childrens' school.

STORY TELLING & SOCIAL MEDIA

There are so many wonderful stories of learning that schools can share with their learning each and every day. I support schools to curate their Instagram and Facebook feeds, edit and create assets including reels and stories to celebrate learning, advertise and market their victories and celebrate learning with the local and wider community.
