Welcome to the Inquiry Project, where our wish is to support schools to design learning that excites and inspires learners. We work with educators to enhance their capacity to draw on pedagogical tools and strategies that grow student learning, foster curiosity and empower student voice.
Our school partnership support and professional development draws from research based high impact teaching strategies that are known to have the greatest influence on student learning growth. Our work explores how educators can design learning that incorporates explicit instructional and celebrates student agency. Furthermore, we explore strategies that reduce cognitive load so that learners can build skill and knowledge whilst tapping into their own curiosity and creativity. We begin our partnerships by asking the anchor question: ‘Who are your students becoming because of your teaching and learning?’
We support teachers to design learning that scaffolds learners to build their knowledge and skill so that they can enquire and make sense of the world around them. We look to create learning environments where learners have greater clarity about their learning, but also feel more curious than when they started. Where they feel connected and driven to use their learning to make a difference.
