These Inquiry Journey Posters are designed to help students and teachers track and celebrate learning across the different phases of a Guided Inquiry. Inspired by language developed by the incredible Kath Murdoch and peers , these posters act as a visual roadmap, guiding students through the Inquiry process from Tuning In, Finding Out & Sorting Out to Making Connections, Going Further, Taking Action and Reflection.

Whilst true Inquiry is cyclical, these posters can be used and displayed in any fashion to reflect your school’s approach and structure.

Teachers can use the posters to anchor classroom dialogue and collect visible evidence of learning. As students move through each phase, encourage them to add artefacts, photos, sticky notes, quotes, questions, and reflections to the wall under the relevant poster. This helps make thinking visible, supports self-reflection, and provides a shared narrative of the inquiry journey.

The posters not only scaffold the learning process but also builD ownership and pride as students see their ideas evolve and contribute to a living display of curiosity and understanding. We

would love to see how you use them my tagging us at @TheInquiryProject or email via katekorber@theinquiryproject.com.au
